Personal Chef Services in Philadelphia

Most people find us because dinner has become the hardest part of the week. Not because they cannot cook, but because between work and the kids and everything else, there is no room left for planning a menu, shopping for it, and standing at the stove.

That is the whole job. We plan the food around your household, shop for it, cook it fresh, and drop it off ready to eat.

What having a personal chef actually looks like

There is no set menu to choose from. We start with a conversation about how your family eats: what everyone loves, what nobody will touch, what you are avoiding, and how many nights you need covered.

From there we build your week. Our chefs shop, cook, and drop everything off labeled and ready. You open the fridge on a Tuesday night and dinner is already made.

Classic Meals, our weekly meal prep

Starting at $410 plus the cost of groceries.

Your menu is built with you each week, so it changes as your family does. Ingredients are shopped fresh. Everything is cooked fresh, portioned, and dropped off ready to eat.

Families counting macros, feeding athletes, working around allergies, or following a plan from their doctor all cook with us. Tell us what the week needs to look like and we will build to it. See how Personal Chef Crafted Meals works, week to week. We also wrote up what a meal prep chef costs and how it compares to a meal kit or delivery service.

The Recipe Collection

Not everyone is ready to hand over the weekly cooking, and that is fair.

The Recipe Collection is twenty of our recipes written out the way we actually cook them, built around how your household eats. Each one comes with the ingredients, the method, and the portions, along with a consolidated shopping list you can send straight to your grocery order.

You cook it yourself. You just skip the part where you have to figure out what to make.

Where we serve

We serve households across Philadelphia and the Main Line, from Bryn Mawr and Ardmore out through Haverford, Villanova, Gladwyne and Narberth, and across the river through South Jersey and the rest of New Jersey, up to Princeton and down the shore to Cape May.

Planning one evening instead, like a dinner party or a celebration? That is our private chef in Philadelphia service.

We are based in Laurel Springs, New Jersey, about half an hour from Center City, so most of the Main Line is a shorter drive for us than half of South Jersey.

Common questions

How is a personal chef different from a private chef?

A private chef is usually booked for an occasion, a dinner party or a celebration. A personal chef is ongoing, cooking your everyday food week to week. We do both. This page is about the ongoing side.

Do I need to be home for the drop-off?

No. Your meals are dropped off on a set day, and we arrange the drop-off with you ahead of time.

Can you work around allergies and dietary needs?

Yes. Tell us what your household avoids and we build the menu around it. If someone is following a plan from their doctor or a practitioner, send it over and we will cook to it.

How much does a personal chef cost in Philadelphia?

Our weekly meal prep, Classic Meals, starts at $410 plus the cost of groceries. What you pay depends on how many people you are feeding and how many nights you want covered. We work that out with you on the consultation call, and we have written up how our pricing works in more detail.

How far ahead should I book?

Two to four weeks is comfortable, and sooner around the holidays.

Do you serve the Main Line?

Yes. We serve the Main Line, from Bryn Mawr and Ardmore out through Haverford, Villanova, Gladwyne and Narberth, as well as Philadelphia itself. We are based in Laurel Springs, New Jersey, about half an hour from Center City, so most of the Main Line is a shorter drive for us than half of South Jersey.
